    Description

    Beautiful U.S. Model 1861 Bayonet for the P.S. Justice Model 1861 Type II Musket Rifle.  Bayonet is marked, P.S. Justice "Philada",on ricasso area of blade.  Blade is fine showing light age patina around ricasso area. Bayonet measures 26-3/4" overall with a blade length of 22". With a .810" for the socket inside diameter.   Brass handle is very good showing age patina, spots, cross-guard marked on the right side "P79".  Scabbard shows brass point missing, stitching is very good, but has leather loos throughout, mellow patina brass throat.  Excellent working press-stud.   See photos for further details, clarification, and condition.
